Now that the team selection process is in the books, owners now begin to formulate their plan for how to reshape their roster into a championship contender. Now that we know who each owner is, let’s look at the first move each team should make to start that team building process. Today we’ll start with the AFC East

Bills- Pick your QB
West needs to pick a Qb and move the other. Taylor and Manuel have similar attributes, and both need enough XP attention that it would be impossible to build 2 up at the same time. With mobile Qbs being a premium in Madden, his first move should be to identify which Qb he likes more, and then trade the other.

Veteran Qb to stabilize position while you build EJ/Tyrod
Right Tackle who can start while you build Cyrus K
Speed Back to compliment McCoy if/when Brown gets cut

Dolphins- Extend Cameron

Miami has a lot of high salary players, including Tannehill and Suh who become major cap hits in 2016. Jordan Cameron is a free agent at season’s end, Morrow’s number 1 priority should getting that longterm deal done ASAP. If you wait until season’s end, you risk paying him more after a successful season/ratings boost. Also, by giving him a long term deal, you get some cap relief in year 1. Dion Sims is a solid second TE but not the unique playmaker Cameron is. Cameron should be the go-to receiver in year one while you build Parker.

veteran MLB to start right away

CB who brings youth/size to the position
Guard who can start immediately

Jets- Break up the band
The Jets brought the band back together this offseason, and Revis and Cromartie are a tremendous CB duo, but both players are fighting father time. With the new ratings logic in Madden 16, guys over 30 will lose value quickly. For Vane to replenish the youth on this aging roster, he needs to cash in one of his elite CBs now before they decline, and add some youth to his offensive skill positions. Whoever you keep still forms a solid pairing with 26-year old Buster Skrine, and 23 year old Dee Milliner who still has some decent Madden potential.

veteran QB to start until Petty is ready
Running Back to be the guy
Young WR who can develop into a starter

Patriots- Bye Bye Brady
While he is the best player on the roster, 37-year old Brady will be a distant memory if he retires after season 1. The Patriots don’t have a lot of trade pieces, and need an injection of youth and speed offensively. JD needs to trade Brady to a Qb needy team, focus on building Garappolo, and try to get value for him before he retires. Failing to trade Brady right away would risk getting zero return on one of the highest rated players in the game.

WR who commands double teams to take pressure off of Gronk
CB who can start immediately
RB prospect who can be built into a bell cow.
